Description

Our surface grinder has a 450 x 150 mm table capable of moving 480 mm longitudinally and 170 mm in traverse. 

This machine has a reputation for having an absolutely smooth, steady table movement that does much to ensure a particularly fine surface finish and improve accuracy.

Materials that can be used on this machine: Steel, cast iron, aluminium (any non-magnetic materials will need the grinding vice to keep them in place).

Training/Assessments

All training/assessments are to ensure that you are using the machines safely and correctly, overall.

You will be taught how to turn the machines on/off, location of emergency stop, and all safety measures & ground rules for each machine.

Things you will learn in this training:

- Basic machine controls

- Wheel dressing

- Use of vice

If you already know how to use the machine, be sure to book an assessment before use. The assessments are put in place for everyone's benefit, so our technicians can oversee that you will use the machines correctly, but most importantly, safely!
