We’ve set out to build a new way of working in our great but expensive city.

Building BloQs is a social enterprise - our mission is to provide flexible and affordable access to professional workshop space and equipment to support London’s freelance makers, small businesses and designers.

We believe the rising costs and loss of workspace threaten the making, manufacturing and creative industries and we have sought to offer part of a solution for the city.

Where we are today

Our 11,000 sq. ft. open access workshop in north London offers industry standard space and equipment to work with wood, metal, textiles, paint, laser cutting and CNC.

By offering open access to this quality of resource, Building BloQs has helped facilitate innovation and supported the establishment and growth of businesses and careers.

Where we are going

Building BloQs is embarking on an exciting new venture. After 5 years of providing open access workshop space, we will be opening new workshop facilities at Meridian Works - part of the Meridian Water regeneration programme in Enfield.

Our new 30,000 sq. ft. workshop at Meridian Works will offer a greater and more diverse range of professional standard space and equipment to support the careers of more of London's freelance makers, small businesses and designers.
