Now Recruiting Two Workshop Co-Managers
We are now looking for two Workshop Co-Managers to take operational responsibility our growing, shared-access workshop based in Enfield.
These roles are being created to look after our workshop and are twofold, interacting with people and looking after machines and systems so candidates must have great people skills as well as technical know-how.
The post holders will be available to our customers on the workshop floor, answering their technical queries and assisting them to access machines safely by assessing their skills, and teaching them where needed.
They will also be responsible for the smooth and safe running of the workspaces, its machines, their maintenance, all workshop administration, and any workshop systems.
Experience and Requirements
The right candidates must have experience of workshops &/or manufacturing and be comfortable in a machine environment, be computer literate, flexible, and have technical experience in Wood, Metal, and CNC or Engineering, Metal, and CNC. Be able to demonstrate skills in budgeting, operational management and have strong written and interpersonal communication skills
Candidates will have experience with the following: wood & metal making, lathes, mills, CNCs, engineering. CAD skills are desirable. Must have strong communication skills, be friendly and enjoy working as a team.
Candidates will have a track record of problem solving, be organised, and be able to time manage and prioritise. The role can be physically demanding so candidates need to be fit and strong.
Each co-manager will work an average of 38.5 hours a week, on a two-week rota which includes a mix of earlier and later shifts and alternate Saturdays. Remuneration approximately £23,000pa. A range of benefits apply.
