New Workshop Technician Needed
We are looking for a new Workshop Technician to support the running of our growing, shared-access workshop based in Enfield.
The role are being created boost our ability to look after our workshop and is twofold, interacting with people and looking after machines and systems so candidates must have great people skills as well as technical know-how.
The post holder will be available to our Members on the workshop floor, answering their technical queries and assisting them to access machines safely by assessing their skills, and possibly teaching them.
They will also be responsible for supervising the workspaces machine maintenance, light administration duties, workshop cleanliness, waste and recycling management and driving a forklift as required.
Experience and Requirements
The right candidate must have had experience of workshops &/or manufacturing and be comfortable in a machine environment.
Candidates will have experience with the following: wood & metal making, lathes, mills, CNCs, engineering. CAD skills are desirable. Must have strong communication skills, be friendly and enjoy working as a team.
Candidates will have a track record of problem solving, be organised, and be able to time manage and prioritise. The role can be physically demanding so candidates need to be fit and strong.
Each technician works an average of 34.5 hours a week, a combination of 2.5 times 12 hours and alternate Saturdays. A range of benefits apply.
