Mathilda is our shop keeper and a rather talented artist. She also works alongside Martha in the office.
Her work engages with boundaries both internal and external, physical and metaphorical; currently through the use of driftwood and anatomical interpretive drawings. Research is an important part of the creative process, both the themes of hope and death feature in the work and are evident through visual cues in materials, as well as underlying ideas. Textually language is used as a flexible system in Mathilda's work. Often based closely on real life, observations.
